What this website and PostDeploy Pro collect, and what our payment processor collects on our behalf.
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how PostDeploy ("we", "us"), based in the United States, handles information in connection with this website (postdeploy.pro) and the PostDeploy Pro WordPress plugin.
Information this website collects
This site is a static set of pages with no server-side database, account system, or contact form. It doesn't run advertising trackers, and the analytics it does run (below) never loads until you say it's OK.
- Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's
localStorageso it's remembered on your next visit. It never leaves your browser and we never see it. - Server logs. This site is hosted on Vercel, which may keep standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and uptime purposes, for a limited retention period.
- Email. If you email us, we keep that conversation and any details you send us, for as long as needed to answer you and keep a support record.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic — which pages get visited, roughly where from, and whether visitors go on to the Pricing page or Freemius checkout. It's the only tracker on this site, and it only runs after you accept the cookie notice shown on your first visit; declining (or ignoring it) means nothing loads and nothing is collected. You can change your choice any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (which resets the notice) or by using a browser extension that blocks Google Analytics.
When active, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects page views, referrer/traffic source, approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise), and device/browser type. It does not receive your name, email, or anything you'd consider personally identifying beyond what's inherent in an IP address. Data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy.
Information the PostDeploy Pro plugin collects
PostDeploy Pro moves content directly between two WordPress sites that you connect yourself — it does not send your content, connections, or site data to us or to any server we operate. We have no visibility into what you migrate, when, or between which sites.
- Free plugin: no telemetry, no phone-home, no analytics of any kind.
- Pro plugin: the only outbound connection to a third party is license activation and update checks, handled by our licensing provider, Freemius — see the next section.
Freemius (checkout, licensing, and updates)
Purchases, license keys, license activation/deactivation, and update delivery for PostDeploy Pro are handled by Freemius, a third-party service. When you buy a license or activate it on a site, Freemius collects and processes information on our behalf, which may include:
- Your name, email address, and billing/payment details (Freemius and its payment processors handle payment details directly — we never see or store your card number).
- The license key, the site URL(s) it's activated on, and basic environment data reported by the SDK (WordPress version, PHP version, plugin version) used for compatibility and support.
Freemius acts as an independent data processor/controller for this information under its own Privacy Policy. You can also manage your data and subscription directly through the customer portal.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we or Freemius hold about you. For anything Freemius holds (billing history, license records), use the customer portal or Freemius's own privacy contact. For anything we hold directly (an email conversation), contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
This site and plugin are intended for website administrators and developers, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site or plugin after a change means you accept the update.
